Puroresu Spirit is telling me New Japan just sold all its stock to an upstart playing card company (with some ties to Otaku stuff), and NOAH got swindled out of a bunch of money and the all-time greats’ issues with management is imploding the company. God, wrestling.  You’re so weird sometimes.

Anonymous asked: Well it's not for lack of trying - Funimation is notorious for sending C&Ds, and there was a semi-famous incident where Viz sent one to every fansub group working on Death Note 2 episodes before the end of the series. The licensors actually liked subbers, and then overnight turned against them (probably out of greed) so now they're in the mess they're in because the fans (who...

Anonymous asked: I don't know if Komik Connect is legal, but I'd wager it's not. Idk, I use the Manga Rock app, which I'm sure isn't legal either because it pulls from websites like mangafox and mangareader, which definitely aren't legal. And yeaaaaaah the whole anime/manga licensing industry is kind of in a huge mess right now, and I have some very strong opinions about that lol.

Anonymous asked: Haha if you can legally read manga for free, that's news to me. I wish I could borrow them from someone too, because I much prefer physical copies of books over electronic. You do what you can, I suppose.

Anonymous asked: Most manga reading apps let you zoom in to read it easier, though not wanting a small viewing screen in general is understandable as well. You can always find volumes on Amazon for super cheap though!

For as much as I don’t like MMA, I sure enjoy playing MMA game demos. Maybe it’s the Street Fighter concept.  In video game form it’s awesome, in reality it would be fucking horrifying.

I thought of a better way to put it.
Wrestling has different styles, as does every other artistic interest.  The other day I was asked “What kind of movies do you like?” to which I shrugged my shoulders and struggled for an answer.  I like…everything?  I like whatever I like.  It’s the most purposefully dumb action movie one day, and it’s 1940s film noir the next.  ”What kind of food do you...

It’s a sin of mine that I have a superiority complex, but maybe that sin grows when I can’t find ways to discredit it.

angry young man
Wrestling pisses me off sometimes.  I complain and stomp my feet and get all upset when Triple H is on my screen, because he’s a horrible man doing horrible things.  The WWE has been in a weird situation for the past decade, and a lot of it is their own fault.  I get upset and I feel justified in that upset. What really bothers me is the rise of the internet, and the rapid expanse of...

Let’s say this for certain: I don’t regret owning my Xbox 360.  It and I have had good times together!  You were so special to me.  But Microsoft, as a company, has been making some ridiculously poor decisions as of late.  I’m in a spot, as a gamer normal human being with a deep passion for video games, where I have to express this stuff.  Obviously, not everyone has to agree,...

Actually, if you’re on a real verge, I’d say get Steam, a full PC if you need it, and just enjoy life.
Jan 29th
It’s something I never would’ve thought to say even three years ago, but here it is: The Xbox 360 has continuously turned into a big pile of dogshit, and if you’re on the verge then I’d highly recommend a PlayStation 3 instead. That is, unless you’re really interested in Halo or Gears of War or Kinect and find a Xbox a requirement.  Or, in a perfect world,...

I’ve been reading about the “Boomerang Generation” after hearing someone criticize the “Peter Pan Complex”.  I’m aware enough to recognize the handful of traits that apply to me.  My parents have been supporting me for a while, long enough to get my bearings, long enough to get my life straight.  They want me to follow my dreams and, hopefully, one day, be...

The best things about Watchmen reveal themselves over time, as you learn and grow in your appreciation for the American superhero comic. As was my case, it’s always a revelation the first time around (after talking through to yourself about what exactly happened).  But as you immerse yourself in comics tropes, the character designs and settings and dialogue and art and art design all have...

“Thermodynamic miracles…events with odds against so astronomical they’re effectively impossible, like oxygen spontaneously becoming gold. I long to observe such a thing.
